Culture and Communication in the Workplace

July 9 @ 10:00 am

Level: Open to all, no prior knowledge required. May be of particular interest to managers and leaders

Presenter: Leyla Okhai

Summary:
This webinar will explore your culture and how it plays out in the workplace. Some of us have had the space to think about this in great detail, while others have not had the opportunity to consider this at all. This session will provide delegates with an opportunity to reflect on multiple identities and their “window on the world”. We will then use Hofstede’s model of culture to examine cultural preferences and varying viewpoints. In the context of recent research about global leadership preferences this webinar will look at how to work more effectively in cross-cultural teams. This webinar does not require any prior knowledge and is open to all.

Learning Objectives:
At the end of this webinar you will know how to:
– Use the principles of multiple identities and the window of the world to relate to others – Apply Hofstede’s cultural dimensions’ framework to your work – Work more effectively in a cross-cultural environment

Remember – To participate, you will need to register for the session. Registration links will be sent to clients on the last Friday of the month for the forthcoming month.
