Tackling Stress and Building Resilience

May 28, 2019 @ 10:00 am

Open to all – suitable for those who are new to this subject and those who would like a refresher session

Presenter: Leyla Okhai

In this webinar we will look at the definition of stress and how we know when we are reaching a critical point. Even though stress in and of itself may not a diagnosable medical condition, it can result in a number of physical and mental health illnesses, when unsupported. We all have a role and responsibility to support staff who may be experiencing stress, either work-related or otherwise. Using the framework from the UK Health and Safety Executive, positive management and how to minimise stress in teams will be explored.

Resilience is the ability to recover from challenges and return stronger. Sometimes referred to as “bounce-back ability”, it is an essential skill in the workplace to ensure we maintain a positive work-life balance. The session will explore how and where in life we feel resilient and also the type of events that erode resilience. The session will use the five ways to wellbeing as a technique to build resilience.

Learning Objectives:
By the end of this webinar, you will know how to:
– Identify the relationship between stress, work pressures, wellbeing, and resilience
– Respond to the challenges of work and develop strategies to build resilience
– Build your resilience tool-kit

Remember – To participate, you will need to register for the session. Registration links will be sent to clients on the last Friday of the month for the forthcoming month.
