Wellbeing has become a more widely spoken about topic over the last five years. Many organisations have signed the Time to Change Pledge and Mental Health Workplace Charter. The term “”wellbeing”” covers several aspects of the way people feel about their lives, including their jobs and their relationships with the people around them. Research has shown that the way employers run a workplace can impact the individual’s sense of wellbeing. Wellbeing and productivity are interlinked, so by providing a positive environment, happy and productive teams will follow.
It is well known and documented that the key to successful teams and businesses is an open and healthy workplace. However, it is not always obvious how to integrate this into everyday work.
