Supporting Small Businesses

As part of our Courses For Good CSR programme, we have committed to provide 200 organisations with heavily subsidised training grants in 2018. Each beneficiary receives on average of £21,000 in-kind training. Previously only available to charities and voluntary organisations, we recently extended the support a select number of small businesses. The 2018 programme opens to applicants on 01st March 2018.

How it Works?

  • Each beneficiary organisation will receive access to over 80 professional development courses, including; nationally accredited online courses, in-house training and our live and interactive lunchtime webinar courses.
  • The average beneficiary receives over £21,000 in-kind training. To read more about the training available and the subsidised rates click here.

Why We Are Supporting Small Businesses

In 2014, we made the decision to expand our Course For Good programme to support a selection of small businesses, alongside our existing charity benefactors. This decision was made following a series of talks held with small business leaders across the UK, where it became clear that charities weren’t the only ones struggling to afford training opportunities for staff.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to receive the subsidised training, your company must have a turnover of less than £6.5 million. This is the definition of an SME according to the Companies Act 2006.
